⭐Looking for preschool social emotional learning social skills stories! This is a social narrative with original artwork teaching preschoolers the basic steps of play. The social skills story is presented in a choice format with the reader making choices when given a simple scenario.

This SEL activity and artwork is simple but SO cute and with limited distractions on the page, making it great for special education, school counseling, speech therapy activities, or any preschool classroom.

Bonus Activity: Social Narrative and Activity I CAN ASK A FRIEND TO PLAY. See details below.

Activity 1: This 22-page SEL story is Patsy the Puny Platypus Learns to Play. Readers get to choose what Puny Patsy should do when presented with three different directions situations around a play situation (preparing to play, playing, then cleaning up play). Students learn what the “hidden rules” are for playing (and what happens when you don't in a silly way!). Comes in Boom, Slides, and YouTube plus printable 22-page book, small book in black-and-white for coloring, and 3 coloring pages.

Activity 2: This short social narrative and SEL activity is titled I Can Ask a Friend to Play. The lesson includes an 8-slide social narrative and then a 12-slide activity to reinforce the lesson. The student helps the friend in the picture ask his or her friend to play (or join play) by moving their body close to the friend. In doing so, they get the audio, “Do you want to play?” or “Can I play, too?” Very simple for early learners! Includes printable book in full-size and small size black-and-white for a coloring book plus 2 pages of class activities.
